Of course, almost the steps of making all kinds of cornices are done in the same way and they differ only in some details. In this article, an attempt has been made to explain how to make MDF baseboards due to its efficiency and high consumption among the audience.

How to make an MDF baseboard

MDF baseboard with PVC coating can be considered the most widely used type of baseboard in homes, which has a reasonable price compared to its efficiency. MDF baseboards are made of artificial wood and should be covered with PVC. These covers are produced in different designs at Rose Film, which provides a lot of variety in the aesthetic aspects and themes that consumers like.

first stage:

A full or partial sheet of MDF is selected with a thickness proportional to the width. For example, if the considered width is within the standard range of 2 to 4 inches, the MDF sheet must be 1.2 inches thick or less.

second stage:

The MDF sheet is placed on three wooden supports so that the edge of the sheet remains flat and the upper edge can be shaped before cutting the sheet. In this case, cutting is done more easily.

third level:

Woodworking tools that can cut the MDF sheet into the desired shape are selected. Such as sloping edge or round edge equipment, etc., to cut the sheet along the edge of the sheet using these equipment.

Fourth step:

A table saw with a carbide blade of 60 or more teeth is mounted on the workbench. Of course, saws with fewer teeth are also able to cut MDF sheets.

The fifth step:

The MDF sheet is passed through the saw according to the specified size, and after shaping the newly cut edge, it is passed through the saw again. This step continues in the same way until the required shape is obtained on the MDF baseboard.

The sixth step:

At the end, the upper edges of the cornice are covered with false wall and after the moisture of the cornice is gone, sandpaper is drawn on it. Now, for the better performance of these cornices, a PVC coating should be installed on them.

The seventh step:

The surface of the cornice must be clean and free of dust before attaching the coating. At this stage, the PVC coating is glued on the baseboard. It should be noted that if a part of the coating is not glued on the cornice, that part cannot be used anymore.

Eighth step:

Gradually, by removing the adhesive of the PVC coating, they stick it on the surface of the cornice.

Finally, you have a PVC coated MDF baseboard with the following characteristics:

Heat resistant

Moisture resistant

Scratch resistant

Variety of design and beauty

Ros Film audience can use PVC coating in addition to MDF cornices on wooden and stone cornices to bring these unique features to their home.
